EntryWatch  ·  Developed by Brope Access Solutions Ltd  ·  Last updated: 7 October 2026

🔒

Offline-First Records: EntryWatch stores your job records locally and does not automatically synchronize them to a Brope-operated cloud service. You can choose to share PDF reports, JSON backups, or information in a support message. The service or recipient you choose will then handle that information.

01 Introduction

EntryWatch is an offline-first administrative and logging tool for confined space work, developed by Brope Access Solutions Ltd. It records readings supplied by users; it is not a physical gas detector.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have in relation to it.

This page describes the mobile app. Websites, app stores, email providers and services you choose when sharing files also have their own privacy information.

03 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Operational records entered into EntryWatch are stored in the app’s local database and files. Depending on the features you use, these include:

  • Shift & Site Logs: Shift date, start/end times, site names, assigned Topman names, and pre-entry risk checklist responses.
  • Gas Reading Records: User-entered O₂, CO, H₂S and LEL readings, sample times, sampling depths where applicable, and related checklist or reminder records.
  • Entrant Tracking: Personnel names, entry and exit timestamps, task descriptions, and digital signatures.
  • Company Profile: Company name, contact details, and logo image used solely to brand locally generated PDF audit reports.
  • Profile and Rules: User-entered names and qualification details, preferences, and job-specific rule revisions used by the app.
  • Checks and Notes: Safety-check acknowledgements, reminder times and notes recorded for jobs.

The app does not automatically upload these job records to Brope or RevenueCat. You can export PDF reports or JSON backups through your device’s share menu. You may also choose to include information in a support message. Exported files can contain names and confidential site information; choose recipients carefully and store them securely.

If you select email, cloud storage or another sharing service, that service processes the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Reaching the share menu does not confirm a backup was saved: verify the file at your chosen destination. JSON backups cover supported job records, not every app setting, image or file.

04 Data Processed by Third-Party Services

Subscription services process information separately from the app’s locally stored job records. Support messages are sent only when you choose to send them.

4.1 App Store Billing & RevenueCat

Purpose: Validating Pro subscription status (Monthly and Annual plans).

Data handled: A generated app user identifier, purchase history, subscription status, store receipts or purchase tokens, and technical information associated with subscription requests. A generated identifier does not mean the data is necessarily anonymous under data protection law.

Payments are processed by the store used for your installation, such as Google Play on Android or Apple’s App Store on iOS. The app does not ask you to enter full payment-card details into EntryWatch. Restoring purchases restores subscription access, not your local job history.

Provider privacy information: RevenueCat, Google and Apple.

4.2 Support and Feedback You Send

If you send an email or feedback report, your email provider handles the message and Brope receives its contents and sender information.

The app can prepare diagnostic details such as app version, device and operating-system information, record counts, or a subscription support identifier. Some device/app details may be included even when optional record-count diagnostics are switched off. Review the message before sending and avoid unnecessary personal or confidential site details.

The reviewed mobile release does not integrate Firebase Analytics. This does not mean the app store or subscription provider processes no technical or transaction information.

05 Data We Do Not Collect

To ensure complete transparency, EntryWatch does not:

  • Require a separate EntryWatch account or email sign-in for local job logging; store purchases use your store account
  • Track or store continuous real-time GPS location
  • Display third-party advertisements or use ad-tracking frameworks
  • Sell, monetize, or broker your personal or operational data to any third party
  • Automatically upload operational job records to cloud storage; sharing or support messages you initiate are separate choices

06 Permissions

Permissions and settings depend on your operating system and the features you use:

  • Files and Images: Import, export and logo selection use your device’s picker or sharing interface. The reviewed Android release does not request broad READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or READ_MEDIA_IMAGES access. Your device or selected service may present its own access prompts.
  • Notifications: Used to display reminder alerts. Android 13 and later require notification permission; iOS uses its own notification settings.
  • Alarms & Reminders (Android): Optional special access allows more precise scheduling. Without it, background reminders may be delayed. Permission does not guarantee exact delivery under every device or battery setting.
  • Vibration: Required for safety reminder escalation alerts when a check is unacknowledged.
  • Wake Lock: Required to keep the screen active during an active confined space entry shift.

07 Children’s Privacy

EntryWatch is intended for trained professionals in industrial, construction and rope-access settings, not for use by children. If you believe a child’s personal information has been provided to Brope through support or another service, contact us so we can review the matter.

08 Data Retention & Deletion

You control the app’s local job records and the copies you export. Keep and protect the records required for your work, following the retention requirements applicable to your organisation, contracts and activities. EntryWatch does not determine a legal retention period or automatically archive records outside your device.

  • Local Reset: Settings > Clear Local Data removes the app’s job database and preferences after confirmation. On Android, Clear storage in system app settings also removes local app data.
  • App Uninstallation: Removing the app removes its local installation data. Save and verify an external backup first if you need to retain your jobs. Restoring Pro does not restore those records.
  • Exported Copies: Local reset or uninstall does not delete files you saved elsewhere or sent to recipients. Manage those copies with the relevant service or recipient.
  • Subscription and Support Records: Local deletion does not cancel a subscription or erase records held by the store, RevenueCat or support. Manage subscriptions through the relevant store and contact dev@brope.co.uk about information handled by Brope.

09 Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Data protection rights depend on the circumstances and are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. Contact us about personal information handled by Brope. The app’s practical controls are described below; they do not define or limit your legal rights.

Right How It Applies in EntryWatch
Right to Access & Portability PDF reports and JSON backups provide ways to export supported job records. They are not a complete export of every setting or image. Contact us about access or portability requests concerning information handled by Brope.
Right to Erasure You can reset the local database and preferences or remove the app. Exported copies and subscription/support records are separate. Contact us about an erasure request concerning information handled by Brope.
Right to Rectification Some profile and pending-job details can be updated through the app’s editing controls. Logged entry and exit timestamps are not editable through those controls; rule changes are subject to job-state and versioned-rule restrictions. Contact us about a correction the app cannot perform.
Right to Object Contact us about objections to processing of your information or requests to restrict it. Whether a right applies depends on the processing and its legal basis; it is not limited to an analytics setting.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app or how information is handled. We will update the revision date when changes are published and provide further notice where appropriate. This notice is not a request for blanket consent to new processing.
